Dean Kahler was one of the nine students wounded in the May 4, 1970, shootings at ������ that also claimed the lives of four students during protests of the Vietnam War. Kahler has been paralyzed from the waist down ever since he was wounded; however, his tragedy has not stopped him from living his life to the fullest. Dr. Angela Spalsbury, Dean of ������ at Geauga and Twinsburg Academic Center, announced those students named to the Fall 2019 President and Dean’s lists. To qualify for the President’s List, students must have a 4.0 grade point average and must have completed 15 hours during the semester. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) affects 1 in 10 women, roughly five million nationwide, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In addition to infertility, PCOS increases the risk of type 2 diabetes and other metabolic disorders—and there is no cure.
