Golden Flashes Reunite for a “Bright” Homecoming 2021

Campus was overflowing with blue and gold pride again this year as the community came together to celebrate Homecoming. Golden Flashes enjoyed many activities, both outdoors in-person and online, throughout the weekend, which ran from Friday, Oct. 1 through Sunday, Oct. 3.

Kent State Announces Forever Brighter, a $350 Million Fundraising Campaign

publicly launched a $350 million comprehensive fundraising campaign Saturday, Oct. 2. During a special halftime announcement at the Homecoming football game, campaign co-chairs Sandra C. and Lawrence R. Armstrong joined Kent State President Todd Diacon to publicly unveil Forever Brighter to thousands of alumni, donors and friends.

Kent State Honors College Student Announced as 2021 Portz Scholar

The National Collegiate Honors Council has announced Honors College graduate Sarah Hagglund as a 2021 Portz Scholar. Hagglund is the 10th honors student from Kent State to be named a Portz Scholar since the national competition began in 1990.
