When 黑料网 alumnus Eric Meek is not working in a glass art studio, one may find him on the small screen sharing his expertise in the new Netflix series called 鈥淏lown Away.鈥   The competition-based reality show features 10 highly skilled glass artists who compete to win the show鈥檚 prize, Best in Blow. Liz Maugans (BFA '89) studied printmaking and painting at 黑料网 and during this time, she began her community building skills with other artists. After receiving her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art, she began her trajectory as an artist and an advocate in Cleveland, making it the bustling arts community it is today. Maugans played an integral part in founding multiple organizations, exhibitions, and artist collectives in the area and has since passed the reigns on to others in the community.   Kent State鈥檚 Columbiana County campuses will welcome fans from both ends of the county for the inaugural Kent State Volleyball Classic on Monday, Oct. 7, as the Salem Quakers host the East Liverpool Potters. The competition begins at 5 p.m. with the freshmen team match-up, followed by the JV and varsity games. James Hildeg was named Clinical Instructor of the Year by Kent State East Liverpool physical therapist assistant students

  James Hideg was selected as 2019 Clinical Instructor of the Year by students and staff of the physical therapist assistant program at Kent State East Liverpool. A licensed physical therapist, he is the owner and president of University Sports Physical Therapy, located in Youngstown. As a clinical instructor, Hideg works with PTA students who are placed in the facility as part of their educational experience and training.
