Davin Ebanks, assistant professor of glass and M.F.A. alumnus, has been selected for the group exhibition "Full Spectrum: Visionaries Elevating Art, Craft, and Design" on view at the Pittsburgh Glass Center through May 23, 2022. The exhibition, curated by Corey Pemberton, Nisha Blackwell and April Felipe, showcases visionary makers of color from around the country who are producing extraordinary craft objects, while illustrating the vast number of pathways to a successful and meaningful career. Scrolling through Instagram led Kent State alumnus Liam Reis, '18, to the opportunity of a lifetime: serving as a Youth Ambassador for the USA Pavilion at World Expo in Dubai from Jan. 7 until April 2, 2022.   Reis felt drawn to this amazing opportunity after seeing the Instagram ad — a photo of the USA Pavilion in which he would work if selected as an Ambassador. During National Autism Acceptance Month, ������ will hold a film screening of “Loving Lampposts: Living Autistic” at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, in the Kent Student Center Kiva. “Loving Lampposts” is a documentary by Todd Drezner, a father of a now 13-year-old boy with autism, that explores the changing world of autism and learns the truth of the saying “if you’ve met one autistic person, you’ve met one autistic person.”  This year marks the 10th anniversary of the documentary. Born from a summer workshop comprising teachers from across the country, a new website aims to educate elementary, middle and high school students and demonstrate the meaning of May 4, more than 50 years after the tragedy.
