Alan Canfora, one of the nine students wounded the day the Ohio National Guard opened fire on a peaceful student anti-war protest, died Dec. 20, 2020, following a short illness. He was 71. Luna Negra is a student-led literary and arts magazine in Kent State鈥檚 Student Media department. OTA Students show off their sensory shoe boxes

  Using plastic shoe boxes, second-year occupational therapy assistant students created unique teaching tools that were donated to elementary classrooms in the East Liverpool City Schools district. The OTA students were each tasked to design an activity that addresses skills such as sorting, matching, placing and basic assembly and that can be used by children from kindergarten through the fourth grade.
