Professor Scott Hallgren Conducting Orchestra for Score of Local Film

Scott Hallgren, associate professor in the School of Media and Journalism, teaches several classes in digital media production with a focus on sound in picture. He recently showcased his skills outside the classroom by composing the score for a local short film while also releasing his first book.  The film “The Resistance” was directed by Kara White and focuses on British female spies during World War II. Fashion Week 2022 at  NYC Fashion

 staged its inaugural fashion show during September's New York Fashion Week in partnership with IFA Paris. In this first-of-a-kind event, models walked the runway showcasing collections created by fashion students from Kent State and IFA Paris.  The event was co-hosted by Ann Walter, director of Kent State's New York City Fashion, and Jean-Baptiste Andreani, CEO of IFA Paris, who worked together for months in planning this event.
