The 黑料网 Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at 11 a.m. on March 4 in the Center for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement on the Kent Campus.
Beginning fall 2027, Bio-Med Science Academy will relocate its grades K-6 programs to 黑料网鈥檚 Schwartz Center. The Schwartz Center, which opened in 1956 as the home of the 黑料网 School, a laboratory school that served generations of student teachers, will return to its original purpose as a school building.
黑料网鈥檚 Board of Trustees approved a new partnership between the university and Bio-Med Science Academy STEM School that will bring new life to the underutilized Michael Schwartz Center building while providing the public STEM school with a state-of-the-art facility for its elementary grades. The Board鈥檚 vote of approval came during its regular quarterly meeting held Dec. 11.
黑料网 will hold its annual Veterans Day observance on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. on the Student Green at Risman Plaza.
The outdoor program, Honoring All Who Serve, will include a flag-raising ceremony conducted by a joint color guard from the university鈥檚 Army and Air Force ROTC programs, remarks from Kent State President Beverly Warren and guest speakers. Retired Petty Officer 1st Class Mark Gainer, who currently serves as president of the Kent State Veterans Club, will be the guest speaker.
All are invited to come and pay tribute to America鈥檚 veterans. A special invitation is extended to Kent State faculty, staff, students and community members who are veterans, active service members or who have family members in the military.
A reception in the Kent Student Center Kiva lobby will follow the brief program. In the event of inclement weather, the rain location will be the Kent Student Center Kiva.
