While hundreds of applicants hoped to be selected to participate in the Sirenland Writers Conference, only a handful of them were chosen to attend the week-long event in Positano, Italy. Dementia affects one-third of all people older than 65 years in the United States. As of January 1, 2017, Kaltura replaced KSUtube as Kent State’s online video platform, a service that enables users to upload, convert, store and play back video content via the Internet. The implementation began in May 2016 with many of the 48,000 video migrations occurring throughout summer. The retirement of KSUtube is bittersweet for its early adopters who have been using the application for nearly ten years, but they are pleased about what the new platform has to offer.
