Ben Curtis and Candace Curtis will return to their alma mater to serve as the Homecoming Parade Grand Marshals at ������’s annual Homecoming on Oct. 14.    A three-time All-American and four-time All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) selection, Mr. Curtis is one of the most accomplished athletes to go through the Kent State golf program. He was a member of four MAC championship teams, including the 2000 squad that finished ninth in the nation. He graduated from Kent State in 2003. Kent State of Wellness is pleased to launch the second year of its Seeds of Wellness Program. Seeds of Wellness is a mini-grant program that provides funding for projects that reflect ������'s investment in health and wellness across the university system. Alexis Bartee is a senior majoring in insurance studies at ������ at Salem. She decided to pursue this degree after she began working at an insurance company in Akron in 2012. There, she helped people plan their insurance needs andguided them through the process. In August, however, Bartee was in Texas caring for her elderly grandparents when Hurricane Harvey hit and, unfortunately, she now views the world of insurance from a whole different vantage point. The 2017 results of the American Heart Association Workplace Health Achievement Index were recently announced and Kent State achieved silver-level recognition for taking significant steps to build a culture of health in the workplace.
