Black Kings: The Danger of Complacency (Trivia & Discussion)

The College of Arts & Sciences will be partnering with the Male Empowerment Network (M.E.N.) to host a celebration of black history, excellence, and achievement at KSU and nationwide through fun and competitive trivia partnered with an engaging discussion entitled Black Kings: The Danger of Complacency. Two $150 book scholarships will be awarded to trivia winners! Expect a guest speaker, as well. All are welcome to attend. Meet in the Student Multicultural Center Lounge at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, March 1 to join the festivities.

Now, she spends her days combining those two, working on videos for the Pro Football Hall of Fame (PFHOF) in Canton, Ohio. Congratulations to Political Science Professor Mark K. Cassell, Ph.D., who recently published an article and was interviewed by Mitteilungen, a publication focused on Germany鈥檚 banking system. Society also posits that men cannot speak about their emotions and have to portray a strong persona to be considered masculine and to succeed in these roles.  This results in an environment of 鈥渢oxic masculinity,鈥 which encourages negative self image, negative outward behavior and struggles with mental health among men who feel they have to be strong at all times.
