Warren, OH (Sept. 1, 2023) – The late Mary Ellen Patton advocated for nursing in the Mahoning Valley and nationwide. Now, her legacy will continue to inspire and support local students for years to come through District Three Nurses Association’s newly announced nursing scholarships for ºÚÁÏÍø and some of its regional campuses. Library Fourth Floor
The 4th floor of University Library (aka the Fab Fourth) is a favorite among students, offering vending machines and a microwave in a relaxed, open atmosphere with lots of group seating, individual study carrels and six Media:scape Pods which allow students to simultaneously connect several laptops to a large-screen monitor for group projects and gaming activities. The floor is also home to the Writing Commons, a resource center that assists students in every stage of their writing assignments.
DeWeese Health Center
Located on Eastway Drive, DeWeese Health Center provides all eligible students, faculty and staff nonemergent outpatient care, including examination and treatment for illness and minor injuries, women's healthcare, laboratory, x-ray, physical therapy, pharmacy services and health education. The DeWeese Health Center accepts all Kent State employee health plans and other major carriers. Self-pay rates are available for uninsured patients.
