Education and Human Services Theme Community
Education and Human Services Theme Community
The Education and Human Services Theme Community is for students who are interested in a career that focuses on serving others and making the world a better place. Whether it is becoming a teacher, an interpreter, a case manager or counselor, in this themed community we are committed to supporting others!
Students in the Education and Human Services Theme Community live together in Manchester Hall. As a part of the community, you will experience programs and activities that will allow you to interact with fellow students, faculty, and staff members. You will also be exposed to student led organizations that the College of Education and Human Services offers throughout the year!
How do I join?
You must be a first-year student admitted to major within the College of Education and Human Services to join this community or receive special permission from the coordinator.
To sign up for the Education and Human Services Theme Community follow these steps:
- Select the Education and Human Services Theme Community in the housing application.
- List Manchester Hall as your preferred residence hall choice in the housing application.
- Alert your academic advisor during your "Destination Kent State: Advising & Registration" program that you would like to participate in the Education and Human Services Theme Community.
Room self-selection dates are based on the date housing applications are submitted, so the earlier you apply the more likely it is that you will be able to select a room in Manchester Hall.
