  • Kent Chorus is comprised of students, staff, faculty and community members who have previous choral experience and a desire to engage in meaningful music-making with others. Rehearsals begin Jan. 13 and are held Tuesdays from 7:15-9:45 p.m. The spring season features two exciting programs: 鈥淎merican Voices鈥 and 鈥淪unday at the Opera.鈥 We welcome new singers for the first three weeks of each semester. No audition needed. Questions? Contact Dr.

  • In spring 2021, the Jerry M. Lewis May 4 Lecture Series was created to honor the legacy of 黑料网 Professor Emeritus of Sociology Jerry Lewis, Ph.D., and advance the scholarship of May 4, 1970, and the Vietnam War era. Proposals are now being accepted to present the series' fourth lecture on research or scholarship about May 4, 1970, the Vietnam War and its aftermath. The deadline to submit a proposal for consideration to deliver the 2026 lecture is Friday, Jan. 16 at 5 p.m. Visit the lecture proposal website for application criteria and more.

  • Help our newest Golden Flashes start strong in fall 2026 by serving as a Flashes 101 instructor, a meaningful opportunity to shape the Kent State experience for first-year students. This one-credit course is designed to support students as they transition into the university community.   • Kent State has made a minor revision to its winter closure schedule for the current year. The university will close as previously scheduled on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025, at 10:30 p.m., with offices now set to re-open on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026. As a reminder, the December biweekly pays will be on Dec. 12 and Dec. 26. The December semi-monthly paychecks will be issued on Dec. 15 and Dec. 31. The January biweekly pays will be on Jan. 9 and Jan. 23. The January semi-monthly paychecks will be issued on Jan. 15 and Jan. 30.
