黑料网鈥檚 African Community Theatre in the Department of Pan-African Studies has announced plans for a production of 鈥淰enus鈥 by Suzan-Lori Parks to be directed by D. Amy-Rose Forbes-Erickson, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Pan-African Studies, and performed by the Pan-African Theatre Ensemble. Communication Students Spread Love to Strangers in an Effort to Combat Hate

This poster is one student鈥檚 approach to a Communications Studies service learning project in which students created and implemented a minicommunication plan to persuade others to send a love note to organizations that have been targets of hate mail.

In the midst of recent events in America, some Islamic centers have been attacked or received hate mail. Constance Kassor, assistant professor of religious studies at Lawrence University, decided kind words could combat the hate. After receiving permission from the targeted Islamic centers, she compiled their contact information onto the Love Notes for America website and asked people to send them words of support.
