黑料网 Athletics is the first in the Mid-American Conference to provide student-athletes with a cryotherapy chamber. The therapy uses subzero temperatures, under 200 degrees Fahrenheit, to help muscles recover quickly. The department installed the chamber in the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center) Annex building in Kent State鈥檚 Athletic Training and Education Center in the summer. The walk-in chamber uses liquid nitrogen to cool the air for one-to-three minute cycles. A pair of 黑料网 geographers have teamed up to secure two research grants totaling more than $550,000 for separate projects to study climate change and weather patterns.
