Six of ������’s Regional Campuses were recently featured in Solar Power World for the installation of solar panels on its campuses, offering cleaner, more sustainable energy that is also more cost effective.  The solar project involves the Ashtabula, East Liverpool, Geauga, Salem, Stark and Trumbull campuses. An early holiday gift came to student Katelyn Matusky in the form of a $1,000 scholarship toward her Spring Semester studies from an anonymous “Christmas Angel.” Katelyn, who is pursuing his degree in Respiratory Therapy, was surprised with the award virtually by Dean Susan J. Stocker, Ph.D. during a staged meeting with faculty members from the Respiratory Therapy program. This is the fifth year in a row the Christmas Angel has rewarded a deserving student. Coordinator of the Elliot Program for Master of Healthcare Design Sara Bayramzadeh, Ph.D. has been awarded the New Faculty Outstanding Research and Scholarship Award by Kent State. Lamar R. Hylton, Ph.D., ������'s vice president for student affairs, has been appointed to the Executive Committee of the APLU (Association of Public and Land-grant Universities) Council on Student Affairs (CSA). The Pew Research Center found in 2019 that 72% of Americans use social media. The percentage of teen and young adult users is even higher. At the same time, “I’m bored” is a constant refrain, uttered as if boredom relief is a perplexing mystery. Her goal was to make the most out of quarantine, and when she was sent an email from the school’s industry liaisons regarding the 2020 Kohl’s Sophomore Career Expo, she knew she had to apply.
