On Feb. 26, a unique event brought together a group of about 50 students, faculty and staff in the Schwebel Room on the third floor of the Kent Student Center for dinner and conversation. By design, the guests come from different areas of the university, and many might have not known each other before meeting at this event. Child Development Center group visiting KSU Dept. of Chemistry and Biochemistry.

 A group of young visitors from Kent State's Child Development Center had a fun learning experience with a little bit of magic when members of 's Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry enthusiastically welcomed them to their labs.   The young learners explored states of matter, density and other principles of chemistry through safe, fun demonstrations that included dry ice bubbles, a "galaxy in a bottle" and the ever-popular "elephant toothpaste" experiment.  The event coordinators hoped that this fun field trip inspired curiosity and sparke...
