Ali Fuhrman Memorial Scholarship

The Ali Fuhrman Memorial Scholarship, named after Ali Fuhrman鈥攁n alumna of Delta Gamma, Gamma Epsilon chapter here at Kent State. Ali graduated from the Hospitality Management program. Ali's life was tragically taken after she was hit by a drunk driver a year after graduating from Kent State in 2015. Ali exemplified the values of Delta Gamma and wore the golden anchor with pride. This scholarship can be presented to any member of the FSL community who represents and embodies the FSL community values鈥攋ust as Ali did.

Virginia Buckley Memorial Scholarship

The Virginia Buckley Memorial Delta Gamma Leadership Scholarship was established this year in honor of Virginia "Ginny" Buckley, who served as the first chapter President of Delta Gamma, Gamma Epsilon chapter in 1947 here at Kent State. The Virginia Buckley Memorial Delta Gamma Leadership Scholarship is awarded to sisters of the Delta Gamma, Gamma Epsilon chapter who have served in executive leadership positions within the chapter and display academic achievement.

Sharon Sigel Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is named after Sharon Sigel, a member of Alpha Phi, Beta Omega chapter whose life was taken from her while working a closing shift at her job in 1981. Sharon was a business student who championed female success. This scholarship is given to outstanding members of Alpha Phi that have financial need to support degree progress.

Paul C. Kitchin, Jr. Scholarship

Paul C. Kitchin Jr. was the first founding member of the Ohio Lambda chapter of Phi Delta Theta here at Kent State, and was a professor of political science during his tenure here. This scholarship is presented to Phi Delta Theta men who exemplify the values of friendship, sound learning and rectitude.
