Join the College of Architecture and Environmental Design for the Spring 2026 Construction Management Speaker Series as Bakari Ballard presents "Building Your Future: Insights from the Field." Bakari Ballard is a Cleveland, Ohio native and a proud graduate of John Hay High School’s Architecture and Design program (Class of 2018). He went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management with a minor in Finance from ºÚÁÏÍø in the spring of 2022. Bakari is an active member of the ACE Mentor Program’s Board of Directors and has been recognized for his leadership and community impact. He is a recipient of Who’s Who in Black Cleveland and was honored as a Crain’s 20 in 20 awardee in 2024. Professionally, Bakari serves as a Project Engineer with Gilbane Building Company. His project experience includes major contributions to the Ahuja Medical Center expansion, the Cleveland Clinic Innovation District Project, Angie Fowler Aya Cancer Institute, and Kent state Design Innovation Hub. Bakari is also a devoted husband, having married his college sweetheart, Amari Crim-Ballard in February of 2025.
