Biography
Lecturer & Course Coordinator, Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Program
I started my career as an associate degree registered nurse in telemetry. I then transferred to labor and delivery, which was my dream as a nursing student. After gaining some experience, I started teaching childbirth classes and my desire to further my education began. I received my MSN in nursing education and started teaching registered nursing students. I wanted to further my expertise in women's health and continue my education for my women's health certificate. I completed my DNP focusing on diabetes in pregnancy.
Being the course coordinator for the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Program combines my love for teaching with my desire to continue practicing patient care. My membership in the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists allows me to share the most up-to-date practice guidelines with my patients and students.
