Career Bio:
Since seventh grade, Siera Santos Terry aspired to attend Kent State. She began her career working with a fabric trade show professional and ALDO shoes before transitioning to a summer role at Nordstrom. She has always had a talent for selling items, and owned "Things by CiCi," operating at craft fairs as young as age 11. She continued her journey working in retail roles throughout college until studying for her Masters in Fashion Industry Studies, upon which she transitioned into running her own business again. She started Bougie Bands, where she was able to secure $5,000 in funding in the first six months. At her time in college, she also transitioned into working at the School of Fashion as assistant to the director.
Upon graduating, Siera Santos Terry moved into roles at smaller companies, with her biggest achievement and most positive experience being working at HSN. She now serves as CMO at , a company she created to explore all of her passions, and founder of , launched six years ago with the goal of exploring marketing and helping smaller businesses.
"My most valuable learning experience at Kent State was the group projects. I hate to say it but learning to work with different personalities sets you up for the real industry. With companies big or small, you will have to learn to work with other people and it is so important to understand how other cultures and companies work."
